Kindergarten Registration Information

  • Kindergarten Registration Packet 2023

    RPS Kindergarten Registration for 2023-2024 School Year!
    Appointments will be made for March 13th and 14th. Please call the RES Office to make an appointment. 
    Legal guardian must accompany student to enroll and provide the following documentation: 
    • Complete Enrollment Packet with parent/guardian signature (Available for pickup in the RES office or to print here: https://www.hcboe.us/cms/lib/AL02210044/Centricity/Domain/243/Kindergarten%20Registration%20Packet%202023.pdf )
    • Parental identification - Parent Photo ID required
    • Alabama Immunization form - out of state forms cannot be accepted. Please contact the Houston County Health Department to obtain a certificate of immunization
    • Birth Certificate
    • Social Security Card
    • TWO forms of current proof of residency in the custodial parents' name (Ex: mortgage, lease agreement, water bill, electricity bill)
    • Custody documentation, if applicable

Welcome to Kindergarten! Kindergarten is a very important year that will be filled with lots of learning, lots of discovery, and a lot of fun! We strive for the love of learning to be the key to success. We want every student to feel safe, cared about, and excited when they come to school each day! Our daily activities are carefully planned to encourage independence and self-confidence through large group, small group and one-on-one participation. We implement Open Court Reading Curriculum, Savvas MATH, and weekly theme units to help your child achieve success. We strongly encourage parent involvement throughout the school and feel as though an open line of communication is key to a child's success. We look forward to working with you and your child. Together we can make a difference!!
