Gifted Specialists will emphasize the complexity of each topic and highlight various perspectives and points of view. Students will be encouraged to develop their own informed opinions. Gifted specialists will emphasize discipline and career fields.
Our goal is to develop conceptual thinkers who critically analyze what they hear, read, see, and actively experience. Activities are beneficial to the Auditory Learner, Visual Learner, and Tactile/Kinesthetic Learner, and also play to the strengths of the various multiple intelligences of students. To this end, our program utilizes, but is not limited to, the following models which promote critical thinking: Bloom's Taxonomy, Taylor Talents, Multiple Intelligences, Strategic Planning, Triarchic Intelligence Theory, Habits of the Mind, Kaplan's Depth and Complexity, and Socratic Circles.
