ParentSquare

Hoover City Schools is excited to introduce ParentSquare as our new school-to-home communications platform. ParentSquare is the premier K-12 solution for unifying all communication methods into a single interface for education. This platform engages every family with school communications and services, from the district office to the classroom teacher, all accessible via a website and/or mobile app.

ParentSquare allows us to create a message once and publish it across multiple communication channels, including app alerts, phone calls, email, text, and social media. Staff members can customize messages, schedule urgent or routine announcements, and instantly view engagement statistics to understand how well the communications are being received. Teachers and staff can use this tool for various purposes, such as classroom attendance, homework, classroom and field-trip reminders, and personalized messages for students, parents, staff, or community members. One of the standout features of ParentSquare is its ability to automatically translate all communications into the student's or parent's preferred language.

Teachers - Teacher accounts are automatically created based on class assignments within the school's master schedule.  Teachers will log in utilizing the "Sign-in with Google" option, so they do not have to remember yet another password.  Class rosters are automatically synchronized nightly to this system from the Synergy student information system. Automated Attendance Notifications 

ParentSquare will notify families of any missed classroom attendance. The messages will be delivered in accordance with the preferences for contact set by the parent/guardian (i.e. text, email, app/push).
