Fremont recently received the 2017 Community Enhancement Award from Montrose~Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce (MVCCC) for being a proven asset to the community by improving the image and stature of the area.

Fremont was honored in April 2006 with a California Distinguished School Award. This is awarded by the State Board of Education for excellence in our educational program and is a top educational honor in California.

From 2013 to 2016, CV Weekly readers voted Fremont the "Finest Elementary School." Also in 2013 and 2016, Dr. Christin Molano was voted the "Finest Principal."

Fremont was on the California Business for Education Excellence Honor Roll in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
