Hello and Welcome to the Black Stallion Core!  I am Nancy M. Hawker and I am a sixth grade teacher(English and Social Studies) in the Black Stallion Core. I'm beginning my 31st year in Glendale.  I grew up in Glendale and attended Mark Keppel ES, Eleanor J. Toll MS, and Herbert Hoover HS.  I received my Bachelors and Multiple Subject Credential from CSU, Northridge.  I earned a Masters in Education from CSU, Los Angeles and then an Administrative Service Credential from CSU, Bakersfield.  I also obtained an English single subject authorization credential in June of 2019.  My husband and I love to visit local amusement parks and take walks and hikes in our local trails.  My son Jayson graduated from Hoover last year and is working full time, still deciding whether or not he wants to attend college or trade school.  I am bilingual and speak both English and Spanish.  I am excited about embarking on this wonderful adventure with you and your child.
