My Mission Statement!
I believe students need to know how to make good choices and grow to be critical thinkers and positive members of society. I believe in mutual respect between teacher and student and parent. WE are a team working in tandem during our year together. Remember: be humble, be a self-starter and follow directions... in doing so, respect and prosperity will follow where ever you go. Let's make this a Great Year!

A bit about me...I joined the RD White family in 2001 and have taught 2nd through 4th grades. Prior to that, I taught at Knob Hill Elementary in San Marcos, California. There, I was a reading and math specialist for one year, and, then a second grade teacher for 4 years.I'm proud to say that at White, I've been the Chair of the Math and Science Committee where I hosted the Science Fair for five years and continue to host Family Math Night (10 years). I have been honored to win the Masonic Teaching Award, The Honorary PTA Service Award, Mr. Alex's Arts Award 3 times, and PTA Outstanding Teacher twice. I have been blessed to work at this school for 19 years now ~ RD White is truly my family.I love to read, travel, garden and teach. I have an AA in Marketing (FIDM), a Bachelor's in Liberal Studies, specializing in Sociology (CSUSM), a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, specializing in Math and Science, with a CLAD (Crosscultural, Language, & Academic Development) Emphasis (CSUSM), and, a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in Reading and Science (CSLA).The best way to reach me is via email at adoerflinger@gusd.net.
