Thank you for your interest in summer programs with the Child Development and Child Care (CDCC) Department. Our highest need students, including those qualifying for ELO-P and those who are new to the country, have priority for our summer programs. A limited number of private pay spots may be offered to students if space allows.The application period for Summer Camp closed on May 31.
The Summer Camp program details are as follows:
Session 1-June 12-June 30 (closed June 19)

Free for invited ELO-P students
- Private Pay-$693 per student-limited space available

Camp programming runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students may arrive beginning at 7 a.m. if desired.

Extended Afternoon Care is available from 4-6 p.m. at a cost of $154 per student.

Hosted at Keppel, La Crescenta, Mann, Muir, Pacific Avenue, and Valley View schools.
Session 2-July 3-July 21 (closed July 4)

Fee required for all students is $742.50 per student for the session-limited space available

Camp programming runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students may arrive beginning at 7 a.m. if desired.

Extended Afternoon Care is available from 4-6 p.m. at a cost of $165 per student.

Space is limited to 200 students per site and enrollment is first come, first served-sign. Applications closed May 31.

Students must participate in the full program of a session (All 3 weeks of a session, 5 days per week, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

Available to eligible children from all GUSD elementary schools. Students will attend their school’s cluster site. Children must be enrolled in a GUSD school to attend

Open to children in grades Transitional Kindergarten-6th grade (based on 2023-24 school year)

Activities will include indoor and outdoor fun.

Breakfast, lunch, and snack will be provided at no cost
In addition to our CDCC programs, the City of Glendale offers a number of summer camp options. Additionally, both the YMCA of Glendale and the YMCA of the Foothills will offer camps. -
