    Absences/Excuses

Each day you are excused with a note from your parent/doctor you must dress out and complete a make-up assignment at the teacher’s discretion.  Per Education Code a parent may excuse their child up to 3 consecutive days after which a doctor’s note must be produced to continue to excuse their child from activity. If excused by a doctor, only written work will be graded.  If excused for more than two weeks (P.E. exempt or open ended doctor’s notes), the student will be given No Grade at the end of the grading period if the note is still in effect.  All efforts will be made to adjust the schedule to accommodate student needs. It’s YOUR responsibility to make up any and all work.  An absence is made up by completing 30 minutes of any physical activity.  Running days must be made up at school since it is graded as a test.  The make-ups are Tuesdays, 3:00 pm, on the lower field every week (weather permitting). You must sign up in advance with your teacher for running day make-up.
