E-rate is a federal program designed to bring Internet connectivity and telecommunications into schools. All schools receiving E-rate discounts must comply with the Internet safety educational requirements outlined in the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA). Use these resources to help your school comply with these requirements.
In line with CIPA (Child Internet Protection Act) and E-Rate requirements, GUSD Teachers deliver:
Elementary School (K-5) - 1, 45-minute lesson per grade per year,Middle School (6-8) - 2, 45-minute lessons per grade per year (ES Sites that have 6th Graders follow this model),
High School (9-12) - 1, 45-minute lesson per grade per year. (HS sites have the option of all 4 lessons during 9th Grade year)
