Cerritos Statement of Behavioral Purpose
At Cerritos Elementary School we are committed to creating a nurturing environment where students are respectful, responsible, and make the right choices to achieve academic and social excellence together.
Cerritos implements the Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) approach to behavior, "a proactive system-wide framework for creating and maintaining safe and effective learning environments in schools, and ensuring that all students have social skills needed to ensure their success at school and beyond."--PBIS
To establish a positive social culture, where appropriate behavior is the norm, all students and staff follow the Cerritos School Wide Expectations.
