Starting on Monday, April 12, 2021, the 12th grade will be reporting to school in person every day until the end of the school year. Grades 7-11 will continue on their regular hybrid schedules. This has been a challenging time for all of us including the students and families. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication. The GCCS Art Club is making and selling water bottles. You can even have yours personalized. Orders are due by Friday, April 16th and can be turned in to the upper office or to Mrs. Durkin.

Pancakes Make People Happy. Our 7th grade Family and Consumer Science students recently received a copy of the book Pancakes Make People Happy, written by local residents, Sharon and Charlotte Collins and Courtney Wade. Sharon and Charlotte are part of the Buck Hill Farm crew in Jefferson where they operate a farm, sap house, and restaurant/store. Charlotte Collins came to one of our Family and Consumer Science classes and worked with our students making 2 recipes that the students chose; Apple Cider Pancakes and Gingerbread Pancakes. Both were delicious! This was such a great opportunity and we so enjoyed having Charlotte take time to come work with us. It is so great for the students to see that you can enjoy what you do and make a living in this beautiful area we live in. Pancakes do make people happy! There will be an emergency Board of Education meeting tonight, March 29th, at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will go directly into Executive session to discuss conditions of employment for certain personnel and negotiations.

Just a reminder that we will be back in person tomorrow, Monday March 29th. Middle/High School grades 8, 11, and 12 are in school on Monday and grades 7, 9, and 10 are remote. Pre-K - 6 is back every day. Some of our bus routes had to be rearranged so please be patient if the bus is a little late.
