Each year our fourth-grade students study Colonial Life and create presentations for all to see. They explain in detail the daily lifestyles and trades of our Colonists. They demonstrate how tools were used for farming, cooking, basket and paper making, sewing, and much more. This year the library is working with Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region. Students have the opportunity to be part of a community service project to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House in Albany. The video explains what we are doing. Dental & Personal Hygiene Drive Later this month Senator Hinchey will be hosting a Dental & Personal Hygiene Drive drop-off event. The event will be held on Saturday February 27th from 11am-2pm at the Catskill High School, 341 W Main St, Catskill, NY 12414. We'll be collecting dental and personal hygiene items such as diapers, tampons, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, toothbrushes and toothpaste. All the donations will be given to Community Action of Greene County where they will be distributed to groups and individuals in need throughout the county. The day of the event, individuals will be able to drive up and drop off their donations, all while maintaining social distancing.
