As a reminder, today (Tuesday, May 16) residents of the Germantown Central School District will vote on a proposed $17.2 million budget for the 2023-24 school year that maintains a rigorous academic curriculum and supports diverse music, arts, extracurricular and athletic programs. The budget includes a 3.48% tax levy, which is below the state’s statutory Property Tax Cap limit.

Voting will take place in the Elementary School Gymnasium from Noon to 9 p.m.

In addition to the budget, voters will elect two (2) candidates to the Board of Education.

Who can vote?

To vote, you must be:

  • At least 18 years old
  • A U.S. citizen
  • A resident of the Germantown Central School District for at least 30 days prior to the vote

You do not need to be pre-registered to vote on May 16. If you are not registered, you may not appear on the voter roll. Be sure to bring photo identification that shows an address within the district, or proof of residency such as a current utility bill.
