  • Plan and coordinate safety drills & training
  • Develop safety procedures (e.g. emerg. closings, bldg security & access)

  • Update Wellness Plan
  • Implement Wellness Plan
  • Identify & coordinate wellness initiatives
  • Collaborate with Garden Club

 

Technology Committee

  • Develop Technology Plan every three years (for BOE & NYS approval)
  • Implement Technology Plan
  • Consider/approve Technology Needs Forms
  • Problem Solve District’s technology challenges

 

K-6 Character Ed. & Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS)

  • Implement positive behavior interventions and supports in the elementary
  • Coordinate with Character Education Committee

 

7-12 Character Ed. & Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS)

  • Implement positive behavior interventions and supports in grades 7-12
  • Coordinate with Character Education Committee

 

Athletic Committee

  • Develop procedures for athletic practices, games, etc.
  • Coordinate schedules
  • Recommend to Athletic Director budgetary considerations

 

PK-6 & 7-12 Attendance Committees

  • Update Attendance Policy for BOE approval
  • Hold parent meetings as per policy
  • Identify chronically absent students and implement interventions
  • Develop action plans to close gaps

 

Character Education Committee

  • Plan character themes and implement school wide activities (e.g. Adopt a Hallway, community service)
  • Coordinate with PBIS

 

Germantown Student Education Foundation

  • Support educational excellence by providing grants in perpetuity to benefit Germantown area students

 

Germantown Exceptionally Talented Students (GETS)

  • Implement GETS program

 

National Junior Honor & Honor Society Faculty Committees

  • Review/Nominate students for membership

 

Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)

  • Provide programs, activities, and equipment which enrich students’ educational experience

 

Promote GCS

  • Collect promotional materials and news for release to the press and the district’s website & Facebook page

 

Scholarship Committee

  • Identify students for scholarship awards as per given criteria

 

Transition & Career Development and Occupational Studies (CDOS)

  • Identify students for the CDOS pathway
  • Provide guidance to students and families for transition and CDOS
