Galway High School students in grades 10 and 11 are invited to participate in a lunchtime series of Google Meets to learn about WSWHE BOCES’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Early College Career Academy (ECCA) programs.
Students can choose the career clusters they are interested in and click on a link to hear CTE teachers explain the programs they teach. The virtual lunchtime series will take place January 7, 12, and 14, 2021 from 10:45-11:15 a.m.
The Early College Career Academy (ECCA) is also hosting two virtual information sessions on January 7 and 14, 2021. Please scan the QR code below to register for an information session.
Galway students who are interested in taking a Career and Technical Education program at WSWHE BOCES should pick up an application from the Guidance Office or click here for a digital copy. Students must apply in order to be considered for a CTE or ECCA program.
Please note: a completed application indicates a student’s interest in BOCES, but does not guarantee the student a spot, nor does it guarantee the student’s first choice of CTE program. Galway sends a limited number of students to BOCES, and BOCES has a lottery system for each program.
In addition to the lunchtime series, there will be an option to attend an in-person Open House by registration only. Please click here for details and to register. Open Houses for different Career Clusters will be held on January 19, 20, and 21. Each Open House will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. at the F. Donald Myers Education Center in Saratoga Springs and the Southern Adirondack Education Center in Hudson Falls. Register by January 13, 2021 to guarantee admittance. Enhanced health and safety precautions will be followed to keep everyone safe. The rooms will be disinfected and set up for social distancing. Masks, a health certification, and temperature check will be required.
