Parents of current kindergarten students are invited to our First Grade Parent Preview on Tuesday, May 5th at 6:30. This will be your chance to meet our first grade teachers, find out about our first grade program, and how to help your child prepare for the transition. There will be things to take, refreshments, and door prizes. Please join us and help your child get a head start on first grade.
90 by 30 is a county-wide effort with the goal of reducing child abuse and neglect in Lane County 90% by 2030. They are currently working on establishing a Regional Leadership Team for the Fern Ridge/Junction City area. 90by30 will hold an informational meeting about the Regional Leadership Team for the Fern Ridge/Junction City at Veneta Elementary School this Friday, May 1, from 4-5:30 pm in the school library. Veneta Elementary School will hold our Kindergarten PreRegistration or Kindergarten Round Up on Friday, May 1st from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. ryone is invited to join us on Tuesday, April 21st for our Family Math Night. This will be a fun night of math for everyone. There will be computer based math, math games for families, and the opportunity to use math skills like estimating to win prizes. Math is an essential and challenging skill for students to master- but it can also be a lot of fun!!! Join us and we will show you how to make learning math fun. The event starts at 6:15 and goes until 7:30.
Our annual Scholastic Buy One Get One Free Book Fair opens this Wednesday. It will be open before school on Wednesday the 15th from 7:30 to 8:00 and during parent conferences (8 AM to 8 PM Thursday, April 16th and 8 AM to Noon on Friday, April 17th.) The BOGO Book Fair will accept credit cards, checks, or cash.
We are still seeking volunteers to help man the book fair. If you are interested, please contact the school office.

Veneta Elementary PALS is hosting their first ever Bingo Fundraiser on Saturday, April 11th from 6 PM to 8 PM. Instead of our annual auction, this will be our main fundraiser of the year. The cost will be $15 per a person for ten games of Bingo. Additional sheets and bingo daubers will also be for sale. There will be a prize package given to each winner. Refreshments will be sold. The evening will also feature a silent auction featuring student projects and other fabulous items that have been donated to the school. All funds raised will be used for Outdoor School, Field Trips, Assemblies, and other special activities sponsored by PALS like our Valentine’s Dance. There will even be a special performance by the Veneta Elementary School choir. For more information, ask a PALS parent or contact the school at 541-935-8225. Everyone is invited to our PALS Bingo Fundraiser. Children are invited to attend but there will be no separate childcare provided.
Our 13th Annual Veneta Elementary School Raffle kicks off March 16th. We have two grand prizes this year. One is a 40 inch Samsung Smart TV and the other is a $300 gift card to Winco. Winners will be drawn during our PALS Bingo Night on April 11th. Our Raffle Sales Contest goes from March 16th to April 6th. Continue reading
