Don’t miss this opportunity to provide your child with free dental care through the Tooth Taxi program arriving at VES on February 2nd. The Tooth Taxi is a complete mobile dental office that can do exams, x-rays, fill cavities, extract teeth, etc. There is no charge to the family for any Tooth Taxi service. All services will be provided at VES- no need to take your child to the dentist.
Good dental health is critical in all children. If your child hasn’t seen the dentist in a while, this is a great opportunity for them to have a free comprehensive dental exam. Then if there are problems, the Tooth Taxi can help your child at no cost.
Forms are available in the office. Forms are due Friday the 30th.
Thanks.
VES Staff
January is School Board Appreciation Month and we just want to take a moment to thank our school board members. Our school board members work hard to ensure that our schools are providing the best possible education for our children. They have a huge responsibility and they do not take it lightly.
This month we are saying thank you to each of the five members of the Fern Ridge School Board. Thank you for the time and thought you put into every decision you make. Thank you for thinking first of what is best for the students in your care. Thank you for your tireless dedication to improving our schools. Thank you for the hundreds of hours that you volunteer each year. Thank you for taking on such an important leadership role in our community.
Thank you to Andrea Larson, Craig Soderberg, Twinkle Morton, David Bolton, and Sterling Pew. We appreciate all that you do for our schools.

Veneta Elementary School will be part of the Fern Ridge Holiday Bazaar this Friday and Saturday, November 21st and November 22nd. The gym will be full of vendors selling one of a kind holiday items ranging from art work to jewelry to handcrafted one of a kind items. Our PALS volunteers will be selling Smencils, new holiday SMENS, T-Shirts, and Water Bottles. Many of the classes have also made handcrafted ornaments and other items to sell at the Holiday Bazaar.
Our Scholastic Book Fair will also be open during the Holiday Bazaar. The Book Fair will be in the library. The Book Fair is a fundraiser for our school and 40% of what we sell comes back to the school in the form of books and other items for the school library. Scholastic is sending us the biggest Book Fair we have ever had which means more items to choose from including holiday gifts and cookbooks.
Both the Holiday Bazaar and the Book Fair will be open on Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Book Fair will also be open during Parent Conferences.
