Advocacy Letters and Information
Posted on 02/07/2024

Franklin CSD is encouraging you to help in our advocacy efforts to ask for essential changes in the Governor's budget proposal regarding state aid to schools for the 24-25 year.  There is an informational packet and sample advocacy letters attached.  There is a general letter that only needs to be signed or you take the time to write a personal message to the government officials listed in the advocacy packet. You can use the same letter to email/send to all the contacts.  The packet contains more detailed information on the budget issue.

The sample letter (Customized Advocate Letter) is only partially complete.  There are sections that need to be filled out and individualized for each family (see yellow highlights) .  If you make a copy of the letter in Google Documents you can edit the document.

Franklin CSD appreciates your continued support.  We are optimistic that positive changes will happen as a result of everyone's efforts.  Reminder: School Budget Public Forum at 6:30 on 2/8/24: Franklin Central School Cafetorium.  There will be printed copies of the letters and packet at the Public Forum meeting.
