• 6th Grade Drama 

    A 10 session, one trimester, course to introduce students to Drama.  Lessons include-
    • Theater Etiquette
    • The Stage and Theater 
    • Masks
    • Puppetry
    • Observation & Listening
    Weeks 1 & 2 of 6th Grade Drama are all about the Stage and the Auditorium.  Ask your student about the different parts of the stage or how to find their seats in a theater!  The have enjoyed their "Field Trips" to the theater.

    Weeks 3 & 4 -- Masks
    Students learn about the origins of theater masks, create masks and use masks to act out scenes.

    Weeks 5, 6 & 7--Puppetry
    Starts with Peepers.  What makes a puppet look alive?  Who controls a puppet?  What is important about a puppets eyes?

    Weeks 8, 9 & 10 --Improvisation of Listening and Observation
    Students really focus on their Listening and Observation Skills which is a perfect lead into 7th Grade Drama Classes.
