- Teaching and working with young children and families has been my lifelong passion. I love observing young children's honesty, curiosity and delight in learning. I began my career as a teacher and have taught preschool, kindergarten, Grade 1 & 2 and special education both in Framingham and overseas in Colombia, SA. As an immigrant from Cuba, I cherish and value bilingualism. I am proud and grateful that my 3 sons are bilingual , a great part of this is do to their participation in the FPS Two Way program....gracias Framingham! In my spare time, I enjoy the arts, spending time with my family, gardening and traveling.

- I have been teaching preschool in Framingham since 2007. I love teaching preschoolers because they are curious, funny, and make me think and learn each and every day. By far, the greatest joy for me as a teacher each year is sharing read aloud books and music with my students. Reading any book aloud to a child is a fun and imaginative activity, which opens doors to all kinds of new worlds for them. Early interaction with music positively affects the quality of all children’s lives. Successful experiences in music help all children bond emotionally and intellectually with others through creative expression in song, rhythmic movement, and listening experiences. When I am not teaching I like to spend as much time outdoors as I can. I walk every day with my rescue dog Mika at Nobscot Scout Reservation. Rain, snow, or sunshine we are there each afternoon exploring different walking trails, bird watching, and enjoying the beauty of being in nature. Kelly enjoys going to the movies. riding her bike, and spending time with her family and friends.

When I am not teaching, you may find me walking, reading and hanging out at my cottage on Cape Cop, or my beach house on the island of Santa Maria Azores.
