The  Social Studies Department offers students a rigorous, and scholarly based program that utilizes technology and focused instruction to develop the analytical and writing skills that will prepare them for college and professional life. The curriculum requires that students acquire the ability to engage critically with both historical and contemporary problems. Additionally, students will learn to evaluate primary source documents for  their relevance to a given interpretive problem, their reliability, and their importance in history.
