Our award-winning Automotive Careers program is designed to provide students with the academic and technical skills necessary to begin a career in many aspects of the automotive industry. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities for qualified applicants in the automotive field are expected to be very good.
After Davies, students can choose to continue their education at a traditional 4-year college or 2-year college. We offer articulation agreements (where students can earn college credit through completion of our Automotive program) with several area schools. Davies students, through their full academic curriculum, are uniquely advantaged to pursue work in their chosen industry while continuing on to college. While a high school diploma is typically the minimal requirement to work in the field, certifications may be required.
In Automotive, students have the opportunity to learn:
- Electrical/electronics
- Steering and suspension
- Brakes/ABS
- Engine performance
- Non-structural analysis and damage
- Plastics and adhesives
- Painting and refinishing
- Air-conditioning and heating
