For second graders at Idle Hour, the end of the year means teatime! Led by art teacher Mrs. Zaglool-Rivera, students created their own ceramic mugs and hosted a tea party to celebrate.

The art room was dressed with white tablecloths and flowers as students sipped ice tea out their handmade creations and snacked on cookies. The students compared their glazed finished products, noting each mugs’ unique designs.

Idle Hour Elementary’s fifth graders performed Joust to a packed house on June 10. The fifth graders worked very hard with Mrs. Daugherty on this performance. They learned to sing, dance and act all while having a great time in learning what it takes to put on a great show. The fifth graders did two shows that day— one for the school and one for their families. Both were a major success. Congratulations on a job well done!
