Nelson believes in the Character Counts! program and the Six Pillars of Character. Lessons on each of the pillars are integrated throughout the curriculum and throughout the school year.  Students are recognized for good character in many ways at Nelson Elementary: Student of the Month Awards, Character Coins, Stuck on Character, Good Deed tickets, and more.
