Clovis Adult Education provides career counseling services to advise, guide, and assist students in establishing attainable academic and career goals. Our Counselor will work with you to develop a class schedule to meet your specific needs, whether it is strategies to prepare for employment or a career change, or if you simply want to learn a new skill. Clovis Adult Education offers employment placement services to career oriented students, for up to a year following their successful completion of the following programs: Vocational Nurse, Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide.
Our Career Placement Office maintains contact and collaborates with local businesses to keep up to date on the needs of employers in the San Joaquin Valley and surrounding areas. Requests from prospective employers for new employees are recorded on our job announcement board. Our Placement Officer reviews resume, assists in completing job applications and helps our students prepare for all job interviews.
Clovis Adult counseling staff and the Placement Officer collaborate to ensure that all program completers, who have indicated a desire to get a job, are contacted upon graduation. Clovis Adult Education continually encourages and supports its students along their path to employment.
