About Copper Hills

Copper Hills was named for the first Copper mine in the area, located near Armstrong & Copper Avenues just 6.4 miles from the school. The school was built for 9 million dollars in 1996 by contractor David A. Bush Inc. and designed by Temple Anderson Moore Architects. The Miners was chosen as the name for our mascot by the community for which this school served. Our school colors or Navy, Maroon, Grey & White were also chosen during the initial process of opening a new school.

Copper Hills Elementary School is a Pre-K-6th grade elementary school in the nationally acclaimed Clovis Unified School District. The school is located in Fresno, California and has been open since 1996. The school houses approximately 700+ students. We have a variety of Pre-Kindergarten classes on campus as well.

Copper Hills has been recognized as a California Pivotal Practices, California Distinguished School, a Bonner Character Education School, Civic Learning Award, a California Gold Ribbon School, State Distinguished and has earned numerous awards for performance in academics, performing arts, and athletics. The Copper Hills Miners follow the "Miner Code" in all that they do and say.

Copper Hills is part of the Clovis North Area schools, which means our students will attend Granite Ridge Intermediate as 7th & 8th grade students and Clovis North High School as 9th -12th grade in the future. If you have any questions or suggestions please email or call us. Once a Miner...Always a Miner!!!
