GRADES: 4-6
DESCRIPTION: Students may opt to run for a position on either of the Semester Student Body Student Councils. Duties include organizing events, programs and projects, encouraging democratic participation and striving to promote good citizenship by example. While student councils are generally given some autonomy in these duties, the school faculty will reserve the right to veto decisions or activities that run counter to the interests or policies of the school. Details on each available position are published with application.
REQUIREMENTS: Qualify with good grades and character. Create posters and speech for elections, and responsibly take care of duties assigned to each position. Meetings are twice a month during lunch recess. Some positions require involvement outside of school hours.
