Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the Clovis Unified School District!

Welcome to the Clovis Unified School District!

In Clovis Unified, students are at the center of every decision we make, and we value and recognize that through our students we are woven together as a community. We hold tightly to that knowledge, and it calls upon us to act with transparency, to set high standards for ourselves and our students, and to pour our best into our students, their families, and our community.

How well we achieve our goals is directly correlated to the quality of our schools, and the quality of your local public schools has a great impact on your life, whether you do or do not have a student attending our schools. Our success impacts your property values. It impacts the business community by attracting tourism and through our use of the local supply chain. It impacts the vitality of the community by drawing high quality employers to our area. And, most importantly, it impacts the future of our community through the quality of our graduates and their preparedness to assume a role in the workforce and society as responsible citizens.

We are accountable to you, our local community, and we regularly look for ways to reach out to connect you with our journey.  Our students come first, and we want to invite you into our work to educate, inspire and equip them in mind, body and spirit. Through the strength of our academic programs, the quality of co-curricular offerings, the world class facilities we build thanks to your support of facility bonds… in every area of education we work hard for our students.

Of utmost importance to that work are our people. They are the caring individuals who put on a Clovis Unified employee badge every day and do the hard work as a team that builds trust and confidence in each other, in our students, and in our community.

On our website we feature valuable information about our schools and programs, provide answers to many of your questions, highlight stories of educators and students focused on excellence, and share our story with the world. Living out our three organizational aims to Maximize Achievement for ALL Students; Operate with Increased Efficiency and Effectiveness; and Hire, Develop, Sustain and Value a High Quality, Diverse Workforce provides an amazing opportunity to make a difference in the very special community we serve and I invite you to share in the journey of our close to 43,000 students and the incredible team of educators who serve them.

Thank you for your partnership and support. Together, we will keep our students, their academic well-being and their future success at the heart of all that we do here in Clovis Unified.
