I.V. Therapy

This course meets the Florida Board of Nursing's 30-hour education requirement to perform IV Therapy. This course provides students with the knowledge and understanding of aspects of IV Therapy including:
- Fluid and Electrolyte Balance
- Medical Terminology related to IV Therapy
- Anatomy of the venous system
- Venipuncture
- IV Therapy delivery
- Types of equipment
- Care of the patient receiving IV Therapy
- Special Considerations of IV Therapy
This course includes both online and on-site requirements. You must be a Licensed Practical Nurse to register for this course.Industry Certifications
This is a continuing education course for licensed practical nurses.
