Mrs. Jordan
Hi! I am Coach Jordan, and I am very excited to be your child's PE Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year!
This is my 15th year in education and 13th year with Charlotte County Public Schools. I am a product of the Charlotte County School system, having attended Vineland, L.A. Ainger Middle and Lemon Bay High School. I have spent my entire teaching career with CCPS at Vineland Elementary and have taught first grade, Pre-K ESE, and this will be my 6th year in Physical Education. Go Herons! I served in the PE position at Vineland from 2009-2011 and 2013-2015, but left to stay home full-time to raise my two daughters.
I graduated from Stetson University in 2006 with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and ESOL endorsement. While at Stetson, I also played for their D1 basketball team-Go Hatters! I later added my Physical Education and ESE certifications to my teaching certificate.
I have been happily married to my husband Jesse for 15 years, and we have two beautiful daughters, Brynn (13), Brittany (10), and two golden retriever fur babies, Zoey and River.
Athletics have always been a huge part of my life! I come from a family of collegiate athletes, as my two older sisters swam in college, my younger brother played college football and my husband played college baseball. I was a competitive swimmer from age 5-12, and then decided to pursue basketball in 8th grade, which quickly became "my sport."
I am passionate about promoting health and wellness to our VES students and helping them learn the importance of creating a healthy lifestyle now that will carry on with them for the rest of their lives. My experience in the classroom and working with students with special needs has given me various tools and resources to implement on the playing field, and I am excited to continue bringing fun, engaging and creative games to our program.
