PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)
-
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a framework Canton City Schools uses to promote school safety and good behavior. The focus is to teach our students about behavior expectations and strategies to support positive behavior. Our district PBIS team process is guided by the four integrated elements of PBIS:
- Data for decision making
- Evidence-based interventions and practices that support varying student needs (multi-tiered)
- Systems that efficiently and effectively support the implementation of these practices
- Continual progress monitoring to ensure outcomes are met
