I am excited for the 2022-23 school year! I became Boger's AIG teacher after teaching 5th grade for eleven years and 3rd grade for one year. This will be my fifth year teaching AIG, and 17th year overall! Providing a challenge for gifted students has always been a passion of mine.
I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelors degree in Group Science/Elementary Education and continued my education at UNCC, earning my Masters degree in Reading Education. I received my National Board certification in 2013, and my AIG licensure in 2017.
My husband and I have two baby girls; Avery (2 years old) and Emersyn (1 year old). With two young babies, my heart and my hands are full! In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, hiking, traveling, playing tennis, and cheering on the Carolina Panthers or Michigan State Spartans.
