Mrs. Darleen Ames
Welcome to 2nd grade at Charles E. Boger elementary school! My name is Darleen Ames, and I will be your child’s 2nd grade teacher. Here is a little information about me. I spent most of my childhood in Missouri with my 3 brothers and 2 sisters, but I have lived in many different states. After graduating from high school, I joined the Navy, where I met my husband. After getting out of the Navy, my husband and I decided to start our family. We now have 3 boys, ages 18, 16, and 13. In 2010, I decided to go back to school and graduated from the University of North Carolina Charlotte, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching in CMS for the last 9 years where I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 5th grade. I enjoy watching movies, reading mystery or suspense novels, shopping, and relaxing with family and friends. I am excited to be joining Cabarrus County Schools this year and look forward to a great school year!
