Use HOM to Make Notes for Neighbors
Posted by Andrea Yawman on 3/28/2020 5:00:00 PMHello from Council Rock Extended Studies Services!
Most of us are in our homes a lot right now. Sometimes this can make people feel lonely. Maybe you could use this activity to help others feel connected.
Use your Habits of Mind to make Notes for Neighbors or friends, relatives, community helpers, etc.
- Print the pages that you’d like to use (link to note templates below).
- Cut on the dotted lines to separate the notes.
- Choose a neighbor, friend, relative, community helper, etc. to whom you’d like to write.
- Complete one of the notes and deliver (send by mail, leave inside a storm door, newspaper box, mail slot, etc.; avoid ringing the doorbell and calling someone to their door so that you can maintain a 6-foot distance).
We would love to hear from you if you choose to do this activity. You can leave a comment below. Tell us how many notes you wrote, to whom you wrote, or which note was your favorite to write.
Thank you for showing empathy for others.
Sending all the best,
Mrs. Yawman and Miss Wegman
