A little about your teacher...
I, Ms. Covert, am originally from Suffern, New York. If you aren't sure where that is take a look at a map of New York State. It is northwest of New York City, but southeast of Rochester. I still have friends and family who live in that area so I try to visit when I can. I found my way up to Rochester about 11 years ago and have been teaching at French Road ever since.
A few summers ago, I adopted my very first puppy. Her name is Matilda. She came to me from Lollypop Farm after another family was unable to keep her. I got her when she was just 3 months old, but she's a full grown dog now. I take her to the dog park with her doggy friends as often as I can so she can get exercise. The plus side to that is that when we get home she's super tired and ready for a nap. She loves playing and will lick you if you let her (something I try not to do). She's a handful, but I love her!
One thing I really like, is to be outdoors. When the weather's nice I like to go running or for walks with friends. I especially love to play golf or spend time at the driving range. I grew up on a golf course and, even though I didn't learn to play as a child, it feel like home. Another activity I enjoy is reading (especially if I am sitting beside a pool, lake, or ocean and can take a break for a swim :).
There are many more things I enjoy when I am
not at the most fabulous school ever (French Road, silly!) but I'll let
you discover those as the year goes on. That way I won't just learn about you but you'll learn about me, too!
