Hi Biloxi Families!

My name is Morgan Frye and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year in 5th grade ELA! This is my 7th year of teaching, but 2nd here in Biloxi!

I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina and graduated from Davidson College with my B.A. in Political Science in 2017. I have always been interested in education policy, and joined Teach for America after college to gain first-hand experience in teaching. I was placed in Leland, Mississippi, where I taught for two years. It was in the Delta that I fell in love with this beautiful state (and teaching!) and knew that I wanted to live here permanently and become a career teacher. In 2019, I moved with my (now) fiancé Ian to Washington, DC and taught in DC for three years in the charter school system. I graduated with my Masters of Education from Johns Hopkins University in 2020. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Education from Delta State University as a 2023 Teach for America Graduate Fellow.

I moved to Ocean Springs in July 2022, and am so excited to be working and teaching in Biloxi School District.
