Professional:

I am thrilled to be the EL (English Learner) teacher at North Bay. This is my eleventh year to teach, my fourth year in the Biloxi Public School District, my second year teaching EL students, and my first year at North Bay. I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi (HOTTY TODDY)  and my master’s degree in Elementary Education from William Carey University. I also have my associates degree in Fine Art from MGCCC and a graduate certificate in TESOL from the University of Southern Mississippi. Working with EL students is a joy because I get to know so many fascinating students with such diverse backgrounds. Seeing the growth my students make in language acquisition and their academic subjects is why I love being an EL teacher. I am looking forward to a wonderful year at North Bay! 

Personal:

 I am married to my wonderful husband of 13 years, Jeff; and I am a proud mother of two children, Jett and Darla Kate. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, Crossfitting, running, and crafting.
