I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders, but I have spent most of my career in education.  I have taught Preschool and First Grade in North Mississippi as well as being an elementary school principal for 3 years with the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools.  I also taught abroad for 7 years in the UK, working with various grade levels and teaching in a variety of subject areas.  I taught Fourth Grade at North Bay Elementary from 2012-2018, and this is my sixth year teaching 5th grade at Biloxi Upper Elementary.

 

I am married to Tim Horn, who is the pastor of First Presbyterian Church, and we have four amazing children.  Katherine is a behavior therapist with the Mississippi Clinic for Autism and Related Disorders. Her husband, Jeff Harrison, manages Transmedia, a print and video advertising company. They live in Gulfport.  Winston works in Sports and Recreation Management and is married to Caroline. They live in New York City, where Caroline is pursuing a Master's Degree in Social Work. Harrison is an electrician for Murphy Electric in Gulfport, and Virginia is a Graphic Design major at Auburn University.
