Meet Kristopher Acevedo

  • Meet your Riverside City College Educational Advisor for Adult Education & Noncredit – Kristopher Acevedo!

    Kristopher has been tutoring, mentoring, advising, and instructing students here at Riverside City College since 2015, as a previous Tutor & Mentor for the Disability Resource Center, previous Educational Advisor for Athletics, and current Educational Advisor for Adult Education & Noncredit, Associate Faculty for Communication Studies, and Faculty Mentor for the Student-Parent Club, Puente Club, La Casa, and LGBTQIA+ Association for Student Success & Equity (LASSE) Program.

    Kristopher earned his Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies with a Minor in Education from the University of California, Riverside (UCR) and earned his Master of Arts in Communication with an Emphasis in Education from Grand Canyon University (GCU). Kristopher is currently attending the University of Southern California (USC) as a doctoral candidate for the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with a Concentration in K-12 Leadership in Urban School Settings program.

    Kristopher works with adult students throughout the Riverside community, such as adult students from Alvord Adult School, Riverside Adult School, and Jurupa Adult School, and assists them with transferring from the adult school to Riverside City College (RCC) – Go Tigers!

    As a change-agent, servant leader, Kristopher’s life goal is “to provide educational guidance and opportunities for personal enrichment and lifelong learning to nontraditional, first-generation, older adult students.” For assistance with transferring to Riverside City College, please contact Kristopher Acevedo:
