The Division of School Support works diligently to review Character Education and Mental Health materials used in our schools to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, rules, and policies. It is our goal to provide students with the best opportunity for success.

The following material(s), in accordance with HB 1467: K-12 Education, were posted for public review/comment and have been approved by the CCPS school board for use with students.

- Leader in Me by Stephen Covey (Approved at the July 22, 2022 School board meeting)
- Leader in Me Online Access to Student Leadership Guides by Stephen Covey (Approved at the March 7, 2023 School board meeting)
- Navigate 360 Mental Health & Prevention and Intervention & Restorative Practices Student Materials (Approved at the March 7, 2023 School board meeting)
- Studies Weekly: Health & Wellness (Approved at the June 23, 2023 School board meeting)
- #WinAtSocial by the Social Institute (Approved at the January 17, 2023 School board meeting)
Existing Materials Reviewed by SBMH Professionals
Below is a spreadsheet containing existing materials within Charlotte County Public Schools that have been reviewed by school-based mental health staff. Materials that were deemed to not be in compliance with current legislation are listed under the "failed to meet requirements tab." These materials have been removed from school buildings and staff have been alerted that these materials are not to be used.
