    The SANDS PROGRAM stands for Students Acquiring New Direction School. These are identified special education students having serious emotional/social problems that affect their school performance. For whatever reason, the students were not successful within their previous normalor special education school setting. This program is highly structured and emphasizes positive social and behavioral skills needed for the student to succeed in school and in life. Making the right choice is the key theme throughout the students day.
