My name is Deniese Herring and I teach math and reading at West Vigo Middle School. I graduated in 1990 from West Vigo High School. Following high school, I attended Indiana State University where I pursued a degree in special education. In 2012, I returned to school and completed my master’s degree in Middle Level Education with a Concentration in Math.
My teaching career began in 1997. My first year involved splitting my day between Terre Haute North and McLean. The following year, 1998, I accepted a position at West Vigo Middle School and have been a proud Trojan ever since! In addition to teaching, I am the varsity girls cross-country coach at West Vigo High School.
Currently, I live in West Terre Haute with my husband (Trent), daughter (Sadie), and our three pets. My oldest daughter, Makayla, is married and lives in Brazil, Indiana. I enjoy camping, swimming, hunting, and spending time with my family.
