Hello everyone,

My name is Jose Brambila.  I'm grateful and excited for the opportunity to coach and oversee the Girls Soccer Program at Curtis Junior High.  I'm in my 16th year as a Spanish teacher at Curtis High School and 18 years coaching soccer.

In addition, I have two years of college soccer playing experience.  I grew up playing this beautiful game in Mexico.  I moved to the USA at the age of 14.  I did not play soccer for a couple of years and after that short break I have not stopped playing since.  Soccer has opened many doors for me, it has helped me make tons of friends and has been a safe and healthy way for me to spend my free time.  I love it!  My goal is to give back for I have been given so much by this game.

With that said, in order to be part of our program, each player will need to be fully registered through our online process at https://wa-universityplace.intouchreceipting.com/, have purchased an ASB card, and have a current sports physical on file (most are good for two years.)

Our soccer program this year will be a no cut sport.  All levels are welcome.  We ask that each player comes fully equipped to our soccer tryouts, practices and matches. Athletes will need shin guards, long socks and soccer cleats (DICKS Sporting goods and Big 5 seem to have a great selection at this time.)

Girls should begin physically preparing and come ready to compete on October 31st. If you have any questions, I can be reached at [email protected].  I look forward to working with your student-athlete and making this season a memorable experience for them.
