Tommie athletic teams compete in a variety of sports under the North Dakota High School Activities Association. Grades 7-12 : Athletic Physical, Online Paperwork, Pay Sports Fee, Attend August 7 Parent Meeting at 6 pm
Grades 5-6: Pay Sports Fee
*Gymnastics, Hockey, Swimming/Diving, Trap Shooting, Robotics fees are set by the host school or outside organization.
THS Athletic/Activity Department
Purpose
The purpose of the athletic/activity department mission statement is to outline our purpose and who we are. The objective of the vision statement is to determine our future destination. The vision statement is the foundation of the strategic plan and will guide all future steps. Future decisions and actions should reflect our vision.
Vision
To be a model program excelling in character, academics, athletics, and activities.
Mission
In supporting and promoting the Thompson Public School mission, the Thompson athletic and activity departments retain the trust and respect of alumni, fans and community members by fostering the growth of individuals who are lifelong learners and responsible citizens that strive for excellence and compete with integrity.
Goals
Progressively teach, develop, extend, and refine the fundamentals and skills of each individual sport.
Instill an appreciation for individual improvement and team performance, as well as an appreciation for the skills of others.
Develop and demonstrate good sportsmanship.
Develop teamwork.
Instill a winning spirit.
Stress participation but remain appropriately competitive at each level.
Promote school spirit, pride, and loyalty.
Develop and maintain good health and physical conditioning.
