SCHOOL NEWS:

The 9th Grade Class of 2025 is having a fundraiser at a local sandwich shop at 1006 Sullivan Avenue this Wednesday from 4 PM to 8 PM. Please come by and support the 9th Grade Class of 2025! 
 
The 9th Grade Class of 2025 shirts are in! Please see Mrs. Barrett in room 122A or the Business Ed office to pick them up if you ordered them in advance.  We have a few extra gray short sleeve shirts in all sizes if anyone still needs one for 19.95!

The Student Law Day Contest deadline is April 27th. The theme of the essay this year is “Toward a More Perfect Union:  The Constitution in Times of Change.”   Please see your Social Studies teachers for further details.
 
CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:

NHS will be meeting this Wednesday after school in the cafeteria!
 
FCCLA is hosting a fundraiser at a local fresh sandwich shop on Sullivan Avenue on Wednesday, April 27th from 4:30pm-7:30pm.  Proceeds raised will benefit Ukrainian Humanitarian Relief.
 
Our next Italian Club meeting will be Monday, April 25th right after school in room 226.  We will be doing a craft and playing Italian board games.  There will also be a snack.  There is no cost for this meeting, just send a message via the Italian Club Google Classroom to let us know you're planning to come so we can order enough materials.  Everyone is welcome, so please bring a friend!
 
The National Honor Society Period Committee will hold a bake sale on April 27th at the boys’ volleyball game.  The money raised will be used to purchase feminine hygiene products for women in need. 
 
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER: 

Swiss Cleaners in Ellington and Manchester has immediate openings for part-time positions.  If interested, please visit the Career Center to see the flyer posted with all of the details.
 
Many scholarships for graduating seniors are currently available with upcoming deadlines. Use Naviance to sort the list by deadline and get your applications in soon! Some good ones to look for: ECHN, South Windsor Rotary, South Windsor Little League, William Perry, SWAA Perseverance Award.
