SCHOOL NEWS:
Attention students of SWHS: Nominate a staff or faculty member for this month's Staffulty of the Month! This is someone you feel demonstrates kindness, understanding, encouragement, and more through this school year. Nominations will be reviewed by Student Council officers. Two staff members will be selected every month. They will be recognized at monthly faculty meetings and on the school website. Please be school-appropriate with your nominations.
CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:
Fashion Club will meet today after school in Room 149A from 2-2:45. Everyone is welcome and we would love to have you join us! Please arrange for transportation home.
The Environmental Club will meet virtually on Monday, December 4th at 12 PM. See our google classroom for the link to the meeting. Classcode 5szwfah Here's the Environmental Club fact of the week: 78% of all marine mammals are at risk of choking on plastic. They are also at risk of getting caught in fishing nets or suffering other accidental deaths. Come to our meeting on Monday to learn more. New members are always welcome. Interact is hosting a fundraiser to raise money for goodie bags for the ER nurses at CCMC. Join us at a local frozen yogurt shop located at 1500 Pleasant Valley Road on Friday, December 1st from 5-9pm.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER:
South Windsor High School will administer the ASVAB CEP again this year. The test will be held on Wednesday, December 13th at 8:00am in the Seminar Room at SWHS. Whether you’re planning to go to college, a vocational school, or the Military, or you’re just not sure what you want to do yet, the ASVAB CEP can provide you with important information about your skills and interests -- and help get you on the right path toward a satisfying career. There are a limited number of seats available, so seats will be first come, first serve. The test is open to all students in grades 10-12.
