In SVUSD we believe that stakeholder participation and involvement will help all of our students be better prepared for college and careers in the 21st Century. We know that involvement in the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) process is not only a legal requirement but also a moral obligation we share as a community in ensuring the success of our students. The LCAP is a three-year plan that describes the District goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes that address State and local priorities. The LCAP provides an opportunity for local education agencies (LEAs) to share their stories of how, what, and why programs and services are selected to meet their local needs.
Role: The District Advisory Committee (DAC) is a representative body of stakeholders who meets with, collects information from, and shares information with their constituents. The committee consists of 3 district administrators, 1 site administrator, 2 parents, 1 CSEA representative, 2 VMTA representatives, 1 DELAC representative, 1 DAC/CAC representative, 1 secondary student, and 2 community members. Ad-hoc members will be invited to attend when expertise is needed as identified by committee members.
