As part of the education process, English Language Arts is the most significant and underlying subject for kids to learn.  Reading is pervasive through all content areas.  Each having their own sets of skills necessary to learn that content area. 

The rainforest project in the picture to the left was created by a fourth grade student.  The student put together this ecosystem as a project for science class.   The class had to research their ecosystems and the animals and plants in the ecosystem.  Without reading, this project of a diorama and the 16 slide research presentation would not have been possible.
