Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)
The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a tool for local education agencies to set goals, plan actions, and leverage resources to meet those goals to improve student outcomes. The LCAP is a 3-year accountability plan highlighting state priority areas and goals to address local needs and provides an opportunity to clarify how the local education agency (LEA) is budgeting and programming for equity. The LCAP engages school community members including parents, students, community members, school employees, and other stakeholders in the planning process.
