Family/ Community Liasion

My name is Pilar Sánchez, I was born in Mexico City, my family is large, we are 10, I finished high school in Mexico. I immigrated to the US in 1990 leaving the rest of my family in Mexico. All of my children were born in California, and they have had the opportunity to have a career in this country full of opportunities.

 I am the community Liaison for Venetia Valley. My job consists of supporting the needs of families with school challenges and helping them navigate all the resources that are presented to them. The work that I do here, I do it with my heart, with a lot of thought and consideration for each family. I really enjoy what I do.

I have worked in Venetia Valley for 17 years, during those 17 years all 4 of my children were students here from kindergarten through 8th grade and all 4 graduated from Venetia Valley. I also have the pleasure of working closely with the staff of the Family Center

Me llamo Pilar Sánchez, yo nací en la Ciudad de México, mi familia es numerosa, somos 10, termine mi bachillerato en México. Yo emigre a los Estados Unidos en 1990 dejando al resto de  mi familia en México. Todos mis hijos nacieron en california, y han tenido la oportunidad de tener una carrera en este país lleno de oportunidades.

Soy la coordinadora comunitaria de Venetia Valley, mi trabajo consiste en apoyar las necesidades de las familias con desafíos escolares y les ayudamos a navegar por todos los recursos que se les presentan. El trabajo que hago aquí, lo hago con mi corazón, con mucho pensamiento y consideración para cada familia. Realmente disfruto lo que hago.

He trabajado en Venetia Valley durante 17 años, durante esos 17 años, mis 4 hijos fueron estudiantes aquí desde kínder hasta el octavo grado y los 4 se graduaron de Venetia Valley. También tengo el placer de trabajar en estrecha colaboración con el personal del Centro Familiar
